Homeschool Week 7 – Letter F

I realize I am quite late posting this – I just haven’t had a chance to get to the computer and get it up.

Letter of the week: F

Memory verse for the week: “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.” Galatians 5:22-23  Periodically throughout the day, we will listen to This song.

New Toy: Swap some toys in bedroom and living room

Mystery Box Items (choose 5 – one for each day): fruit, fish, flower, farm animals, frog, fly, fly swatter, food, fern fawn, frame, fiddle, feathers

Songs: There are a lot of songs this week, but here are a few – This, Five Little Frogs, Faith As Small As a Mustard Seed

Daily Story/Activity: (This is what we do to start our “learning time” each day)
Tell the story (with pictures) about the feeding of the five thousand with five loaves and two fishes. Eat fish-shaped bread for lunch (use a cookie cutter to make the fish, or use goldfish crackers).

Monday – LeapFrog Fridge Phonics (each week I will put a different letter in the fridge phonics toy.  I don’t usually like electronic toys, but Samuel loves putting the letter in this one and pressing the button.  I’m only giving him one letter at a time right now.) Play with felt book (or felt board, or felt toys – anything with felts.)

Tuesday – Finger play – Things like the Itsy, bitsy spider and other fun finger plays.

Wednesday – Finger paint (can use regular non-toxic finger paints, shaving cream or pudding.)

Thursday – Go to the store to look at the fish

Friday – Play with finger puppets
