Homeschool Week 3 – The Letter C

Letter of the week: C

Memory verse for the week: “Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me”. Psalm 51:10
Periodically throughout the day, we will listen to this song.

New Toy: Shape Stacker

Mystery Box Items (choose 5 – one for each day): cat, carrot, candle (not lighted), car, cucumber, comb, circle, cup, crown, cross

Songs: There are a lot of songs this week, but here are a couple:Climb, Climb Up Sunshine Mountain Colors

Daily Story/Activity: (This is what we do to start our “learning time” each day)
Tell the story (with pictures) of the ten commandments.  Sing “Trust And Obey

Monday – LeapFrog Fridge Phonics (each week I will put a different letter in the fridge phonics toy.  I don’t usually like electronic toys, but Samuel loves putting the letter in this one and pressing the button.  I’m only giving him one letter at a time right now.) Play with Cans – build towers with cat food cans or bowl and knock over cans.

Tuesday – Crawl through cardboard box maze.

Wednesday – Color with different mediums (put a large piece of paper or cardboard on the floor and let Samuel use chalk, crayons, markers [washable, non-toxic], and maybe even finger paints).

Thursday – Play with cars – send them down ramps, drive them on roads, make towns, etc.

Friday – Compose music on the keyboard
